Jesus is the Reason for the Season

I know most people get caught up in the hype of Christmas and go overboard shopping. Putting themselves into debt, starting off the new year in financial disarray and forgetting the true meaning of it all. Although this is not the exact day that Jesus Christ was born, it is a day set aside to acknowledge the day the Savior came into the world. Hmm, makes me smile. We give gifts because when the King, the son of God came into human flesh, gifts were given to him. The act of gift giving to each other is merely a representation of if we were to give gifts to the Savior. We are all created in the image of God, meaning we bless him by blessing each other. I used to get caught up in the hype but not so much anymore. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I am in a place of reflection and loving the God who created me. Although there are many things I don’t understand, I am grateful. I am finding my nuggets in him and letting it build someway, somehow. The love that Jesus has for me is beyond my human comprehension and shatters anything that I could ever make it out to be. So Happy Birthday Jesus. Thank you for being born. Thank you for your love. Thank you for dying on a cross for my sins, resurrecting and sitting at the right hand of the father to make petition for me. Sincerely your daughter who’s soul longeth for you like the noonday sun and stars that hang in the night sky 🙂
